Why not check out St. Andrew’s OMEGA worship, held the first Sunday of each month at 1:00 pm in Room 215 - upstairs in the Christian Education Wing.
Come and enjoy the experience of the contemporary worship service at St. Andrew’s.
It is led by the Rev. Rebekah Mitchell. Right from the beginning, the feel is casual, with food and drink being provided. Everyone is encouraged to move about and participate as they see fit.
The service consists of contemporary Christian worship music in which the participants sing along in an audio-visual, multimedia format. The worship music adds to the spiritual dimension.
As a prayer of intercession, we engage in a “popcorn” prayer, in which each of us has an opportunity to pray for the needs of others or ourselves, as we feel led.
Rebekah then leads us in a reading from the Bible, which is followed by an informal talk containing personal anecdotes and everyday experiences to bring the worship and understanding of Jesus’ work and word in our lives to a more intimate level. Following the talk, we are invited to engage in discussion about Rebekah’ talk and share our own ideas and experiences. Where the discussion goes is always refreshing and surprising. Everyone has something unique and interesting to add.
All are welcome for a time of worship and fellowship at the contemporary worship service. See you there!
